Belleek is a small village in County Fermanagh, Northern Ireland, set where the River Erne widens toward the Atlantic. Its identity is closely tied to Belleek Pottery, founded in the 19th century and still operating today, which brought industry and recognition to an otherwise rural riverside settlement. The village’s history feels intimate, shaped by craftsmanship and borderland geography rather than grand urban development.

The surrounding landscape is defined by water and low, green hills. The River Erne flows past the village on its way to Lough Erne, creating a network of waterways, islands, and quiet banks that shape local movement and scenery. Fields, hedgerows, and wooded stretches give the area a soft, lived-in feel.

Belleek has a calm, close-knit atmosphere. Life revolves around the river, the pottery works, and everyday routines, with little sense of urgency.
